Expiration Dates
Expiration dates are printed on all applicable items.
Merchants ship items in accordance with the [1/3 Rule].
However, due to possible international shipping delays, some products may arrive with a shorter expiration date.
*The [1/3 Rule] is a Japanese business practice in the food industry, where the time between the date of manufacture and the expiration date is divided into three equal parts to set delivery and sale deadlines.
For example, if the expiration date is 6 months, the manufacturer/wholesaler delivers the item to the retailer within 2 months of the manufacturing date and the retailer sells it to the consumer up to 4 months after the manufacturing date.
