Shigaraki ware is pottery made in Shigaraki Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. It is counted as one of the six ancient kilns of Japan and is said to have a long history of over 1,200 years.
The pottery has a variety of shapes and expressions created by nature and craftsmen, and is filled with the sincerity and playfulness of experts who value "imbalance."
