A new model will be added to the MT-G, which combines metal and resin for functional beauty and TRIPLE G RESIST. The new shock-resistant structure and mid-size case make the MTG-B1000 more comfortable to wear.
A new shock-resistant structure for MT-G has been born for G-SHOCK, which is always equipped with advanced shock-resistant structures. The new core guard structure is adopted, which integrates the lug foot and pipe that connect the band to create a wall, forming a box-shaped frame to protect the module. In addition, carbon fiber reinforced resin is used for the center case material that protects the module, achieving weight reduction and further evolution of shock resistance.
The base of the band is made of a combination of durable fine resin parts and metal parts to ensure strength. The case and band are connected with a metal pipe as an axis and fixed with a screw, and the connection is rotated to create a vibration-resistant structure that prevents the band from loosening.
In addition, by resizing the parts of the exterior structure and reconfiguring the combination, the first mid-size case has been realized in the MT-G series. The case diameter has been downsized by 2.8 mm from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock, 1.8 mm from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock, and 1.1 mm thick. The use of this mid-size case and soft urethane band improves the fit.
Each edge of the metal parts that make up the exterior is mirror polished and each surface is hairline processed to pursue the beauty of the finish, which is the essence of a watch. In addition, the use of highly transparent sapphire glass and the delicate engraving on the indexes and in-dials using the fine processing technology of the Casio Yamagata factory further enhance the texture.
The new module is equipped with a "Connected Engine" to improve the accuracy of time correction. It connects to the dedicated app "G-SHOCK Connected※" by linking with a smartphone via Bluetooth® communication function and obtains time information from a time server on the Internet. It is also equipped with Multiband 6, which supports standard radio waves from six stations around the world, and automatically corrects the time in a compatible area even without connecting to a smartphone. It is possible to display the correct time anywhere in the world.
The dedicated app "G-SHOCK Connected" allows for easy setting of watch functions such as world time, timer and alarm, as well as "watch status display" and "user attention display," giving the product reliability and reassurance to users.
In addition to the time correction function that works in conjunction with a smartphone, the watch also comes with practical functions such as a high-brightness LED light, world time and stopwatch, all of which can be stably powered by Casio's original solar power generation system "Tough Solar."
