This area has long been known as a village of famous water. Yamazaki's water has a hardness of about 90. The taste is soft and slightly sweet. The fine foam enhances the taste and aroma of your meals.
■Famous water sought by our ancestors
Yamazaki is the village of famous water called Mizuno, which was also written about in the Manyo poem. Tea master Sen no Rikyu also loved the water here, so much so that he built a tea room called Tai-an for Hideyoshi. Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory, was also obsessed with this area's famous water.
