We at Sato Shoji started planning and manufacturing tableware, kitchenware, interior accessories and other household items that are familiar to our daily lives around 1955.
The "Yanagi Sori Design Series" began with the #1250 stainless steel cutlery, which we commissioned Sori Yanagi to design and began selling in 1974.
After that, we commissioned him to design more stainless steel products such as stainless steel kettles and stainless steel saucepans, and have been planning and manufacturing a variety of items. Stainless steel cutlery, kettles, pots and other products born from this collaborative development have been manufactured and sold under the Martian mark as part of Sato Shoji's original brand, the "Martian Series."
As we expanded our cutlery and kitchenware lineup, we added heat-resistant glass bowls and the Nambu ironware series, and began handling the "Heritage Series (bone china products)" and "Black and white tableware series (ceramic products)" designed by Sori Yanagi, and are now developing them as the total kitchen and tableware brand, the "Yanagi Sori Design Series."
