This is domestically produced kudzu starch made from potato starch from Hokkaido and real kudzu starch from Kyushu. It does not contain any additives such as thickeners, thickening polysaccharides, or CMC. It can be used as an ingredient in hot pots, as well as in stews with meat and potatoes, seasonal vegetables, salads, and in the summer as a dessert with brown sugar syrup or maple syrup.
Unlike konnyaku noodles, shirataki noodles, and mung bean vermicelli, kudzu starch absorbs the soup and dashi from the hot pot easily, and the flavor soaks into the kudzu itself well.
