We are happy to announce that Japan Post has resumed EMS (Express Mail Service) shipments to the United States (including island territories such as Guam and Saipan) and neighboring islands.
To ensure your packages clear customs smoothly and without delay, DOKODEMO will be resuming service with the following specific requirements:
■ Key Requirements:
- Minimum Order Value: Only orders with a merchandise total exceeding $810 USD will be accepted (per shop/seller).
- Exclusions: This $810 limit applies to the product total only (shipping fees are not included in this calculation).
- Shipping Method: Available exclusively via EMS.
■ Why is there an $810 limit?
Due to US customs regulation changes introduced in 2025, packages valued at $810 or less now require complex digital integration for customs clearance. We are currently working on these system updates.
However, because the procedures for high-value orders (over $810) remain unchanged, we are able to resume "shipping as usual" for these orders immediately.

[Important Notes on Currency & Customs Valuations]
■ Settlement Currency
All transactions on DOKODEMO continue to be processed in Japanese Yen (JPY). The amount shown on your bank statement will be in your local currency, with the exchange rate determined by your financial institution or payment provider.
■ Shipping Label Documentation
To comply with the U.S. customs regulations, product prices on the shipping label/invoice will now be listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) based on the exchange rate at the time of shipment.
※Please Note: The USD amount on the label is strictly for customs clearance and may differ slightly from your actual billed amount due to the exchange rates used by your financial institution.
■ Customs Duties
As per our standard policy, any customs duties incurred are the responsibility of the recipient. If contacted by U.S. Customs, please follow their instructions to complete the clearance process. DOKODEMO cannot perform customs clearance on behalf of customers, nor do we provide prepayment for customs duties.

Currently, orders valued at $810 USD or less remain suspended. These shipments now require new system integrations for the prepayment of customs duties under revised U.S. regulations.
We are actively working with Japan Post to implement these changes and will provide updates on our website as soon as shipping for lower-value orders (Under $810) becomes available.
